A list of pocket cruisers I am currently researching. Criteria is tough... has to be trailerable (with an F350, I'm not trying to do this with a Prius), shallow drafted and responsive enough to spend time on Idaho lakes and actually move under our variable winds, solid enough for careful trips throughout the San Juans, and something I can at least lie down in at my height of 6'5". Easy, right?

The current top contenders - and the category benchmark, my buddy's Pacific Seacraft 25' - are at the top. To sort by any of the dimensions / calculations, click the up () or down () arrows to sort ascending or descending.

Explanations of the five calculated ratios (Displacement/LWL, Ballast/Displacement, Sail Area/Displacement, Capsize, Length/Beam, plus PHRF -- right most 6 columns) are at the bottom of the page.
